With this land bank and a handful of human resource, JDA started its odyssey to manage the land, develop it to create better infrastructure and in the process catering to the needs and demands of the fast expanding Jammu urban area. Over the years it succeeded in creating significant infrastructure, commercial and office complexes, residential colonies, parks and green belts beautiful rotaries with statues and institutions of art. It also prepared Master Plans for the Jammu City. In its journey spanning more than three and half decades, it has left indelible mark every where.

Today, the organisation proudly claims to be one of the few self-reliant organisations in the state. It has sound financial base and does not depend on the govt. exchequer or any financial institution help for the administrative expenses and other development activities including various small projects.
