The colony has been developed on the right side of Bantalab-Ambgarota road and was taken up for development in 1980-81. It spreads over an area of 2008 kanals of land and has been divided into nine sector.

The colony has been fully developed by way of construction of roads, drainage, parks and street lights. All the developed plots have been allotted.

About 60% of allottees have constructed their houses. Sector number one has been allotted to the Hon'ble Legislators.
